On the 75th anniversary of the March deportation, a memorial prayer will be held at Haapsalu Cathedral at 11 o’clock. Flowers and candles are placed on the mother’s altar in the baptismal chapel. Teacher Mart Salumäe and representative of Estonian Memento Union Arnold Aljaste will speak.
After the memorial prayer, candles and flowers are also placed at the foot of the Haapsalu War of Independence monument.
At 1:30 p.m., the deportees will be commemorated on the Cross, the memorial cross for the deportees next to the old railway station.
