To counteract the crimes that affect citizens, the National Police took to the streets of Granada, where three cases were developed that allowed four arrests to be made: three of them in flagrante delicto and one more by court order.
Case No. 1: Two men, aged 30 and 35, were captured in the El Bosque neighborhood for the crimes of manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possessing firearms, and receiving them. In this event, a revolver-type firearm was seized from the individuals and a motorcycle was recovered, which filed a criminal complaint with the Attorney General’s Office for the crime of theft.
One of the captured subjects of Venezuelan nationality, presents notes in the accusatory Oral Criminal System, for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing and possession of narcotics; As for the Suzuki brand motorcycle, it does not have an identification plate, however, it was established by the traces of the chassis and engine, which had a search and recovery order.
Case No. 2: A subject who minutes before had stolen several valuable items from a woman, was captured by police surveillance patrols who observed him at the moment he tried to flee. The incident took place in the El Bosque neighborhood, where apparently the subject armed with a knife threatened the victim; However, in the reaction of the uniformed officers he was detained and the stolen items were recovered.
The 38-year-old aggressor would not have acted alone, according to information from the victim citizen. The police authorities are on the trail of his accomplice, whose capture is expected in the next few hours.
According to his criminal record, he files two complaints with the Prosecutor’s Office for this same crime in 2017 and 2023.
Case No. 3: The arrest by court order of a 45-year-old man who is wanted by the Municipal Promiscuous Court of Granada for the crime of domestic violence was also recorded.
The detainee was presented before the requesting authority, where a Judge of the Republic sent him behind bars.
