El Salvador records a new day without homicides at the beginning of the year – Diario La Huella

The Government of President Nayib Bukele, through its Security Cabinet, reported that on Tuesday, January 16, El Salvador recorded another day without deaths due to violence.

“We ended Tuesday, January 16, with 0 homicides in the country,” the police corporation published on its official X account.

According to the authorities’ record, the Public Security authorities detailed that 2023 closed as the safest year in the history of El Salvador, recording only 154 homicides, which results in an average of 0.4 murders per day.

It is worth mentioning that El Salvador is one of the countries that has stood out for its notable transformation regarding the security provided to the population with the strategies implemented by the Government of President Bukele.
