[Electric Shock News] 830,000 views! Guangdong Pharmaceutical Science Popularization Competition Concludes Successfully 3D Digital Technology Leads New Trend of Science Popularization
On March 27, the 2023 Guangdong Pharmaceutical Science Popularization Competition Summary and Award Ceremony was successfully held in Guangzhou under the guidance of the Guangdong Provincial Food and Drug Administration. The event, hosted by the Guangdong Provincial Food and Drug Administration Affairs Center, showcased a summary video and winning works, honoring winning units and contestants. The ceremony was broadcasted online, attracting approximately 830,000 viewers.
With the theme “Safe medication, safe life,” the competition collected over 1,200 valid works in various categories such as video, comic, and text over a six-month period. After expert review and online voting, several awards were presented, including special prizes, first prizes, second prizes, excellence awards, and individual awards like Best Creative Award and Best Editing Award.
The aim of the competition is to enhance the public’s knowledge and rational use of drugs, equipment, and cosmetics. Through initiatives like the “An’an Campus Tour” Science Star Creation Camp and the “Short Video Competition” of the Guangdong Provincial Drug Supervision System, the competition committee conducted 26 offline promotion activities across universities and industry associations to engage the public and students in creative participation.
The competition received strong support from various sectors of society, with participation from 17 provinces and autonomous regions and over 270 entities and individuals submitting entries. The innovative display format of competition works included the establishment of a 3D science exhibition using digital virtual technology, allowing the public to immerse themselves in viewing the exhibition through VR equipment.
To further disseminate safe medication knowledge, the Guangdong Drug Science Popularization Contest will showcase outstanding works through the Guangdong Drug Science Popularization Network, “Guangdong Drug Administration,” “An’an Science Popularization” WeChat public accounts, and mainstream media platforms.
