Federal Cabinet to approve FBR reforms tomorrow

Web Desk: The caretaker government has made preparations for reforms in FBR, the federal cabinet will approve.
According to the details, the important meeting of caretaker federal cabinet will be chaired by caretaker prime minister Anwarul Haq Kakar tomorrow, whose 7-point agenda has been released.
With the approval of the Federal Cabinet, the Federal Board of Revenue will be restructured and digitized, two separate boards of tax system and inland revenue will be formed, while the objective of restructuring the FBR is to increase tax revenue and prevent tax evasion.
The agenda of the cabinet also includes the extension of the tenure of the president of SME Bank, while the appointment of the members of the Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority Board is also a part of the agenda.
According to the agenda, the committee will be approved by the federal cabinet for the appointment of the VC of Shaheed Zulfikar Bhutto University, the decisions of the ECC and the legislative committee will also be approved in the meeting.
