Every March 19, the festivities of San José are celebrated.
The feast of the husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary and adoptive father of Jesus Christ, is celebrated this March 19; The ecclesiastical parish of San José invites the community to celebrate with fervor and joy the holidays of its patron saint, faithful protector of the family.
Agenda
The celebration began on Friday the 8th with the prayer of the novena and will last until Sunday the 26th of March.
The parish priest of San José, Father Walter Ramírez, during the Eucharists celebrated in the parish, invited the faithful to participate in the novena, which ends on Saturday, March 16.
On Friday, March 15, the eighth day will be prayed, but at 3:00 p.m. the festive agenda will begin with the proclamation from the pool of the Citadel El Maestro; The parade will have floats.
On Saturday, March 16, at 08:00 there will be the collection of the bazaar; 3:00 p.m., traditional games; 6:30 p.m., praying the rosary (last day); 7:00 p.m., solemn Eucharist of Vespers; 8:00 p.m., serenade to the patron saint San José with the participation of the Loja Symphony Orchestra; 8:30 p.m., fraternal agape; and, 9:00 p.m., a great musical and cultural night, along with the light show.
While, on Sunday, March 17, the festivities begin with the gunshots and targets, at 05:00; 11:00 a.m., solemn celebration mass for Saint Joseph presided over by Monsignor Walter Heras Segarra, bishop of Loja; and then procession with the Sacred Image. At the same time, they will reopen and bless the “San José” Children’s Center to help mothers and fathers; and, the activities end at 12:30 p.m. with the grand bazaar and typical meals. (YO)
