Fixed speed cameras and tall grass and the tussle breaks out in the city council. The answers to the two questions presented by the minority, the first concerning traffic safety in Ai Fant-Belvedere with the request to install a fixed speed camera, moved the session on Friday evening a bit, with some unexpected twists. , the second on the degradation of the territory, both signed by the parent company Rita Bristot.
“It has always been the priority of this administration to regulate the speed in that critical stretch, in fact we are the ones who have installed the two columns for the mobile speed camera and ensure the presence of the local police when possible”, replied the mayor Mario De Bon, but Bristot insisted: “Is it not possible to put detectors working even without the presence of a policeman and increase the fines, in short, a few more controls to slow down the traffic?”.
Deputy Mayor Rudy Vallet, pleased with the reminder (since usually the Municipality is accused only of making cash, in such situations), explained that the administration, at the time, had already made a request for fixed detectors: however, according to Vallet, they can only be placed in a stretch that is one kilometer long and free of intersections, factors which (with lots of measurements cited in the classroom as evidence) do not exist in the route indicated. An increase in checks would also be difficult due to new means such as word of mouth on Whatsapp that illegally report the presence of checks live, and frequent appeals.
Rita Bristot then reported situations of degradation, in particular tall grass and abandoned waste, in some areas such as Volpez, Torbe or at Prà de la Melia. Both the mayor and the deputy said they were embittered by the tone used in describing the situation with expressions such as “indecent”, “without decorum”, “year zero”, which would also have aroused discontent among the workers themselves, who follow instead of good pace the mowing plan.
Furthermore, for the playground at the Gron plants, the Sospirolese is called into question, to which maintenance and periodic mowing are assigned and which, following the query, will have to be recalled by the Municipality.
Finally, the waste issue in Pascoli where the addition of a bin and the emptying on Monday are asked: it would not be only the tourists leaving the Mis Valley to throw the waste out of the container, according to Vallet, but also the residents. In addition, the capacity of the bins has already increased by 16 percent with the move to Bellunum.
Surprisingly, in conclusion, the opposition councilor Simone Bazzali said he disagreed with the statements of the same minority, suggesting the group to focus on more important issues for the community.
