Ford discusses mandatory vaccination for healthcare and educators with cabinet | Mandatory vaccination | Ontario

by admin

[Epoch Times August 17, 2021](Epoch Times reporter Wang Lan reported in Toronto) Governor Ford reportedly will discuss with cabinet members on Monday night to compel medical staff and educators to be fully vaccinated.

According to a CTV report, the Ford government has been avoiding the issue of compulsory vaccination of some front-line workers, but the epidemic situation has been severe in recent weeks, the number of confirmed cases has rebounded, and new cases are doubling every 9 days, and the provincial government is facing increasing pressure. .

Last week, groups including the Ontario Medical Association and the Ontario Public School Education Bureau Association issued statements one after another, calling on the Ford government to force some frontline workers to be vaccinated.

The Registered Nurses Association of Ontario also issued a statement on Monday morning expressing its support for the mandatory vaccination policy.

However, it should be noted that given the 28-day waiting period between injections, people who have not been vaccinated will not have enough time to get these two doses before the first day of school on September 9.
