A retired professional soldier, identified as Iván Pedraza Luquetas, was found dead inside his farm located in the Backpack village, jurisdiction of the town of Poponte, municipality of Chiriguaná.
The death was due to a murder because the body had a gunshot wound to the head.
According to the authorities, the events occurred last Wednesday, with the victim’s relatives being the ones who notified the Police station. They also indicated that they do not know the motives and perpetrators of the crime, since they were not aware of any type of problems in Pedraza Luquetas, which could lead to her death.
The investigative work does not rule out that it could be a theft on the property, and when the former military man confronted the criminals he was murdered.
