Former municipal secretary sentenced for raping his minor daughters

The First Criminal Court of Chiriguaná issued a judgment
conviction against Jairo José Salazar, former Secretary of Infrastructure and Works of the municipality of La Jagua de Ibirico.

According to the defendant’s defense, it is all about a supposed setup and maintains that the mother of the girls would have presented her version to the
Prosecutor for economic reasons. In addition, he filed an appeal. However, the Court ruled against him. Jairo José Salazar is currently in the Valledupar judicial prison awaiting to find out how many years he would have to pay in sentence for the events reported today.
It is worth mentioning that the ruling reading procedure was scheduled
for next July 17.

Salazar was charged with the crime of aggravated violent carnal access with a child under 14 years of age, his daughters being the victims. At the time, the girls gave details of how they were abused in 2015, repeatedly in a house. The mother of the victims, upon finding out what had happened, proceeded to file a complaint with the competent authorities.
