Green light from the Government to Pnrr funding aimed at inclusion and social cohesion projects presented by the territory: 18.5 million euros assigned will be used to fully cover the integrated urban plans developed on Mission 5 of the Pnrr dedicated to inclusion and social cohesion presented by the Metropolitan City with nine municipalities in the Canavese area: Castellamonte, Cuorgnè, Borgiallo, Feletto, Ivrea, Banchette, Strambino-San Giorgio (project presented together), Rivarolo. The decree of the Minister of the Interior in agreement with the Minister of Economy and Finance – currently being published in the Official Gazette – assigned the resources to the implementing bodies of the Urban Plans, 31 including those presented by the Metropolitan City of Turin, which have been fully and fully admitted to financing.

The deadline for the award of the works has been set for all the implementing bodies on 30 July 2023 while the final deadline, within which the certificate of regular execution or the test certificate issued for the works by the director of the works must be sent. works, will be June 30, 2026, in line with the deadline for the conclusion of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The Metropolitan City projects are aimed at a population of one million and 200 thousand citizens of the territory who will be able to benefit from local social services, identified to reconstruct an intergenerational and intercultural encounter, to create new services and spaces or upgrade existing ones. in terms of accessibility and sustainability. As envisaged in the Ministerial Decree, the projects selected by the Metropolitan Cities refer exclusively to interventions worth not less than 50 million euros, concerning investments aimed at improving large degraded urban areas, for regeneration and economic revitalization, with particular attention to creation of new services for the person and the requalification of infrastructures, allowing the transformation of vulnerable territories into smart and sustainable cities.
