The former president of the Republic and fugitive from Salvadoran justice, Mauricio Funes, affirmed today that the FMLN won the presidency due to the truce between gangs.
“After the truce came the presidential elections and who won them? they were won by the FMLN, Salvador Sánchez Cerén, ”said the former president.
The governments of the FMLN have been pointed out by the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) of having agreed with the criminal structures, who caused mourning and pain to Salvadorans for years.
Currently, officials of former President Mauricio Funes and Salvador Sánchez Cerén are being prosecuted before the courts for having negotiated with the gangs.
