BELLUNO. Here we are. On Friday the decree law comes into force which requires the green pass to be seated in bars and restaurants. A new task for the managers of the Belluno premises, managers who are rather perplexed about the methods of checks.

Someone has already downloaded the app to check the green certificate of customers, others have not yet done so.

“We have organized ourselves following the law and the directives of Ascom,” says Andrea Guerra of Enoteca da Ciccio, particularly critical of the provision. “But there is a very big problem to solve. I can ask the customer for the Green pass, but this can be that of a friend or a brother: at that point I cannot ask for the document and therefore the difficulty arises in verifying the exact identity of the person. Unfortunately, we in the restaurant industry are massacred and it seems that we are the culprits of the situation. We just have to defer to the common sense of our clients, as some lawyers have advised me. Oh I forgot: I don’t agree with the fact that the counter is not used, but in the dining room it does ».

Tiziano Marcolina of the Bar Pasticceria Lilly in Cavarzano tunes in to the same wavelength as his colleague: «I understand that those who do not have a pass and want to sit inside the business will not be able to do so. But if you want to sit without showing the Green pass, what will I have to do? They tell me to ask for the intervention of the police, but if this happens in all the bars in Belluno, will we have enough patrols? In the end, for me the problem is limited, because I have most of the tables outdoors, but I don’t agree on how the measure is structured ».

There are those who are awaiting the latest directives, expected for tomorrow morning: «At the moment», underlines Dino Candeago of the “La Trappola” spaghetti factory, «not much is known yet. I believe it is essential to organize in time and have clear provisions in a short time ». In any case, Candeago is not worried: «I must say that in my restaurant the problem still exists at 50%. Many customers who are afraid of being infected ask to be outside even if it rains, the music will change in October with the change in weather. How do I judge the provision? It does not make people lose work, the criticality is the internal organization that must coincide with the provision. It is obvious that in this context I will have to use a waitress who controls the customers who eat inside ».

At the Piadineria La Caveja, the chef Mirco Coco tells how they are living this moment: «With us, people usually eat outside, so there is no need for a green certificate. Unfortunately, this provision creates a bit of confusion, even if we have mostly regular customers, when we asked for the pass once, we no longer need to ask for it. In the end I believe that for us the problems will arise in the first days of application of the decree ».

Gabriele Donà from Bistro Bembo also talks about how he organized himself: «We have to follow the rules that we have damage. Until mid-October, if there are nice days and if you have outdoor space, the problem will be marginal. Things will change with the winter, if these measures remain in force, because in that case you will have to ask the customer for the necessary documentation ».

Donà points out a possible problem: «Especially among the boys, there may be a series of false Green passes that can be passed from one person to another. In that case the control will be difficult ».
