This morning, the Minister of Housing, Michelle Sol, met with the Secretary of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, Adrianne Todman, to discuss the challenges regarding housing in El Salvador and the actions focused on Latin America since his Government.
“We talked about our credit policies, the need for more social housing and the programs they run in the United States that could be replicated in our country,” the minister highlighted.
This meeting took place within the framework of the homeowner’s visit to Washington DC, USA, as part of an invitation made by Ginnie Mae, the National Government Mortgage Association of the United States and the Inter-American Development Bank ( IDB), to share the best practices in financing social housing and these inputs will serve in the construction of programs that benefit the country.
Representatives from different Latin American countries and different organizations from the United States, focused on housing financing and public policies, also participate in this initiative.
