In its seventh graduation day, the alliance between HanesBrands and Infotep reaches a new milestone by awarding more than 6,000 technical certifications to HanesBrands employees to date, since the project began in 2013. Employees have been trained in areas vital to the Dominican industrial sector such as: Industrial Electricity, Industrial Mechanics, PLC, Quality Management Systems, Customs Management, Lean Manufacturing, Middle Management Development, Occupational Health and Safety, among others.

Santo Domingo, July 7, 2023. Driven by the commitment to contribute to the development of the industrial sector in the Dominican Republic, HanesBrands, world leader in iconic clothing brands, celebrated the seventh graduation of collaborators in alliance with the National Institute of Technical Training Professional (Infotep), edition in which the figure of 1,125 certifications is reached out of a total of 80 courses, in which 610 HanesBrands employees participated.

The impact of this program highlights the importance of providing opportunities for all its collaborators and bringing hope of progress to those who work every day for a better future for their families and the country. In addition, due to the constant demand for trained professionals in the industrial sector, HanesBrands has assumed the commitment to continue facilitating training for its employees and making professionalization possible in the sector.

Since the beginning of the program, together with Infotep they have provided educational opportunities that contribute to increasing productivity through training in areas such as: Industrial Electricity, Industrial Mechanics, PLC, Quality Management Systems, Customs Management, Lean Manufacturing, Development of Commands, Media Safety and Occupational Health, among others.

With this alliance, the company inspires its collaborators around the importance of committing to continuous training as a tool for transformation and integral growth, an aspect that concludes in the improvement of their quality of life. Proof of this is that ten years after the start of the project, a total of 3,165 collaborators have graduated, totaling an impressive total of 6,336 certifications to date.

The graduation ceremonies were celebrated on April 27 and May 10, 2023, with the motto “Creating Opportunities for all”, with the participation of the INFOTEP authorities and local authorities, among them; the Director General of INFOTEP, Rafael Santos Badia, Regional Director INFOTEP Cibao Norte, Arisleyda Tineo, Luis Manuel Rodríguez, Regional Director INFOTEP Cibao Sur and for the company Lister de León, Plant Manager Dos Ríos, Freddy Vanderpool, Senior HR Manager, Clarilis Rodriguez, Superintendent of Organizational Development for the DR, as well as all the staff of the facility.
