Hundreds of scholars gathered at Harvard University on Thursday for his or her commencement ceremony amidst a backdrop of controversy. The establishment, in collaboration with colleagues and a pro-Palestine protest, triggered a stir by refusing to award diplomas to 13 college students who had been concerned in previous protests towards the War in Gaza.
During the ceremony, college students expressed their solidarity with the excluded classmates by singing the slogan “Let them go!” Faculty members additionally criticized the choice to ban protesters from receiving their diplomas.
