From the first information, the five wanted to climb the normal to the Crystal. Four of them had started first, but had taken the wrong route along a ledge with no exit, from where they had tried to climb, stopping at 2,900 meters above sea level and starting to abseil. He was a hundred meters lower along the ledge, where he had stopped to wait for them, when he slipped into the void without answering.

After flying over the area and identifying the body of Faycal Moussaddak, the helicopter of the Suem di Pieve di Cadore flew to embark two volunteers and a rescuer of the Sagf, the Alpine Rescue of the financial police, of Cortina, landed nearby . The air ambulance then went up to retrieve the 4 friends. Once the clearance was obtained from the judiciary to move the body, the boy’s lifeless body was embarked and taken downstream with a 20-meter winch.
