For the experts it was impossible to see them with two meters high corn

(ANSA) – LODI, 26 DEC – It was impossible from the cabin of the agricultural vehicle that one could see or hear people hidden by the corn cobs which, in those days, had become well over 2 meters high. With this motivation, the result of the advice provided during the investigations, the Lodi prosecutor asked for the dismissal of the 28-year-old tractor driver who, on 2 July last, hit and killed Sara El in a corn field in San Giuliano Milanese. Jaafari, 28, and Hanan Nekhla, 32, two girls who had spent the night there with some friends. The 28-year-old was under investigation for double manslaughter. At the same time, the notices of the end of the investigation were notified to those who are believed to have been in the camp with the victims before the tragedy and who would then have fled, after the investment, without asking for help or activating rescue. From the investigations following the fact, it emerged that the two young women were in the company of other people, who fled in fear when the agricultural vehicle, used to spread pesticides, had suddenly fallen on them. The younger of the two victims, Sara El Jaafari, after being run over on the morning of July 2, managed to throw a SOS to 112 explaining that both had been run over by a combine harvester, but died before they could be tracked down.

Which only happened on the evening of the next day, Saturday 3 July.
