A man died from electrocution after coming into contact with an ANDE column that had electric current. The event occurred in the city of Encarnación.
On this Sunday morning, a death due to electrocution was recorded in the limits of the San Isidro and Itacuá neighborhoods of the city of Encarnación.
The victim of this fatal episode was identified as Carlos Ramón Gómez Gamón, 20 years old, who died after suffering a strong electric shock.
According to the report, the man was heading with his brother to a friend’s house in the Itacuá neighborhood and, at one point, he asked to pause his walk so he could urinate.
After moving a few meters away, Gómez decided to lean on an ANDE column, which unknowingly had electric current, so he ended up being electrocuted until his death.
After learning what had happened, local residents quickly came to assist him and rushed him to the nearest hospital, although unfortunately nothing could be done to save his life.
The forensic report confirmed electrocution as the cause of death. By order of the fiscal agent Lorena Castelvi, the body was handed over to the relatives after the required autopsy.
