Healthcare of the Fvg promoted by 8 out of 10 citizens, but there are requests for cuts in waiting lists: “Times too long”

UDINE. Eight out of ten citizens of Friuli Venezia Giulia promote the regional health system, but, at the same time, they target the waiting lists considered excessively long.

This is a result that emerges from the latest survey carried out by Swg between the end of June and the beginning of July on a sample of 800 residents in the region and in which, among other things, the thumbs up also refers to the single emergency number 112 and, as far as users are concerned, also to the Sesamo electronic file.

Returning to the general area, in any case, half of the citizens attribute a clearly positive evaluation to the health care of Friuli Venezia Giulia, with a substantial part indicating room for improvement, but only 20% expressing themselves on negative judgments. On a scale of 1 to 10, in particular, the regional health system as a whole obtains a score of 7.1, exactly like the hospital one and slightly higher than the result linked to the judgment on its own health company.

And if the network of specialized and / or affiliated doctors is less appreciated (6.9), it is interesting to note that among the companies the best marks are obtained by that of Udine. In fact, from the parts of Santa Maria della Misericordia, 53% of the interviewees rated the company currently run by Denis Caporale with a vote of 8 upwards and 59% of the entire regional system.

These numbers drop, respectively, to 41% and 40% in Pordenone and Trieste as regards the satisfaction of the Company itself and to 45% and 44%, instead, for the entire health system.

Also interesting is the opinion relating to general practitioners who obtain an overall positive evaluation (7.1) with the apex represented by satisfaction with the time dedicated to visits (7.2) and the lowest point, instead, linked to the willingness to go directly to the patient’s home (6.3) with one patient out of five, in any case, who proves to be critical.

As regards, instead, the problems of the regional health system, these are essentially represented, at least for 73% of the interviewees and with a figure identical to the similar survey carried out in February, by excessively long waiting lists, while for the 47 % – down 11 percentage points – from waiting times in the emergency room. «The results are positive – says Health Councilor Riccardo Riccardi -, but nothing is perfect.

I thank all the professionals who work daily in the health care of Friuli Venezia Giulia with the awareness that, now, we will have to face the most critical issues, which have also emerged from the survey, highlighting, in any case, how we would have done it in recent years if, in the meantime, the Covid pandemic had not broken out ». –
