Everyone wore lab coats, ‘protect the public system’

(ANSA) – MILAN, MARCH 26 – General practitioners in protest this morning in Milan in Piazza Duca d’Aosta, in front of the Central Station, and then in procession, singing the anthem of Italy, to the headquarters of the Lombardy Region, a few tens of meters away.

The doctors, all dressed in white coats, asked for “the protection of the public health service and the de-bureaucracy of their profession”.

After a brief stop under the Palazzo della Regione, where some smoke bombs were lit, the procession – made up of several hundred doctors – then returned in an orderly fashion to Piazza Duca d’Aosta. (HANDLE).
