“If it says museum, we want to be a real one”

The water in the Trofengbach rushes unmistakably and it drives a water wheel that supplies the Salzer Tannery Museum with electricity. A piece of the puzzle in the major project to breathe life back into the ruins of the “Tannerei Salzer” in Eisenerz through a total renovation. Not only the exterior, but also the interior of the building complex has been renovated since 2004 to make it suitable for a museum.
