According to export data analyzed and provided by DANE and DIAN, in November 2023, the country’s exports totaled US$4,151.8 million FOB, reflecting a decrease of 9.0% compared to the same month of 2022. This The contraction is mainly attributed to the 19.1% reduction in exports of fuels and products from the extractive industries.

During the reference month, exports of fuels and products from the extractive industries represented 51.0% of the total FOB value of exports; while the manufacturing component contributed 19.8%, agriculture, food and beverages with 21.5%, and other sectors with 7.8%. In November 2023, 12.9 million barrels of crude oil were exported, reflecting a drop of 22.6% compared to November 2022.

On the other hand, in November 2019, Colombian exports amounted to US$2,943.6 million FOB. When comparing the tenth month of 2023 with the same month of 2019, an increase of 41.0% is observed, mainly due to the 36.2% increase in external sales of the Fuels and Extractive Industries Products group.

Likewise, in the period from January to November 2023, an increase in Colombian external sales of 24.7% was recorded, compared to the same period in 2019. Exports of agriculture, food and beverages experienced an increase of 36%. ,1%. The decrease in the value of Colombian exports was mainly explained by the reduction in sales to the rest of the world of products such as oil and its derivatives (-18.7%), thermal coal (-25.2%), coffee (-30.9%), plastics in primary forms (-34.3%) and iron and steel (-26.4%).

Risaralda
In contrast, exports in Risaralda experienced a notable increase of 38.5% between November 2022 and November 2023, reaching a total of US$52,990 FOB for the eleventh month of last year. In the period from January to November 2023, Risaralda achieved a total of US$505,560 FOB, representing a variation of 28%.
