This May 9, the discussion “Business Present and Future in the north of Cauca” will be held.
With special programming this Thursday, May 9, the 100 years of the founding of the Cauca Chamber of Commerce will be celebrated in Santander de Quilichao, in which businessmen, merchants and the general public from the north of the department will take part.
Since its birth on April 12, 1924, the Cauca Chamber of Commerce has been a fundamental pillar of the social and economic development of the department, promoting the creation of companies and employment in this region of the country.
This centenary has been commemorated with academic programming, in which prominent panelists have participated, moderated by the executive president of the Chamber, Ana Fernanda Muñoz Otoya.
Entrepreneurs and merchants, the institution’s raison d’être, have taken an active part. In Popayán the celebration took place on April 12, in the Francisco José de Caldas auditorium of the University of Cauca, with the forum ‘Economic future of a diverse Cauca’. On that occasion, businessmen, merchants and new generations of entrepreneurs were recognized. In addition, former presidents of the board of directors and former executive directors of the entity received distinctions.
Subsequently, in El Bordo the conversation ‘Tourism and gastronomy development potential in southern Cauca’, Merchants and businessmen who contributed to the development of the south of the department were also exalted there.
This Thursday, May 9, this great celebration, which brings together the entire north of the department, will end in Santander de Quilichao in the Business Auditorium of the Chamber in the city of Los Samanes, where the conversation will be held. ‘Present and Future of Northern Cauca’, immediately afterwards a business recognition will be made. Likewise, ‘Quilichao Suena’ will take place in the main park.
This event promotes the creative economy, culture, and the talent of artists and artisans from northern Cauca, with a dynamic and varied agenda that includes craft and gastronomic exhibitions and more than 20 artistic presentations that will highlight the richness of the region.
