Indigenous Minga on May 7 because the government failed to comply with us: Orewa

by admin

The Council of Indigenous Authorities – Orewa Association published today, May 2, a statement announcing a new protest starting May 7 due to the failure of the Chocó government to pay the 2023 indigenous education contract, an agreement agreed upon last protest on April 2, 3 and 4.

They describe the fact as disrespectful to the indigenous communities and affirm that it had been defined that as of April 30, the payment of the additional payment of the 2023 indigenous educational service contract would begin.

“This new indigenous minga will begin on May 7, 2024 and the Quibdó-Medellín and Quibdó-Pereira roads will be closed,” they say.
