It falls for tens of meters and dies on the Grappa

PIEVE DEL GRAPPA. A man lost his life on the Grappa. On Monday afternoon he was riding the path 153 in Pieve, riding his mountain bike, when he lost control of the bike at a hairpin bend. Leaving the path, he fell for about fifty meters.

Two friends who were walking the path behind him sounded the alarm. The Alpine Rescue, the Suem118 helicopter and the Pieve carabinieri arrived on the spot. Any rescue attempt is useless. The man, a 60-year-old German, died in the fall. The recovery of the body, which ended up in an inaccessible area, was long and complicated.
