The Colombian Radamel Falcao García already has his statue in the city of Santa Marta, Magdalena, which was unveiled last weekend, generating several criticisms from Internet users, who claim that it does not look like the forward.
The work was built by the Samarian artist Antonio Irisma, who since 2018 has been asking the authorities for their support to finish and exhibit the sculpture, making his dream come true in 2024.
In the sculpture, the footballer appears smiling, with his arms raised in victory and wearing the uniform of the Colombian National Team.
Some Internet users have compared the statue to Win Sport narrator Eduardo Luis López, who joked through his social networks thanking Santa Marta for creating a monument in his honor.
“Thank you Santa Marta… I feel very honored with this tribute. Anyway. Let them make one for the tiger Falcao,” she wrote.
