The Constitutional Court has just announced this Monday, May 13, 2024, the final results of the legislative elections of April 29. The ruling party, Union for the Republic, maintains its score of 108 seats.
According to the results communicated, nothing has changed in what the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) proclaimed on May 4. The UNIR party keeps the 108 seats out of the 113. The other 5 are distributed between the Alliance of Democrats for Integral Development, ADDI, (02); the National Alliance for Change, ANC (1); Dynamics for the Majority of the People, DMP (1) and Democratic Forces for the Republic, FDR (1).
Note that around twenty requests were submitted to the Constitutional Court. They were rejected by the institution after analysis and in accordance with the electoral code. The contested ballots were added to the invalid ballots.
These final results proclaimed this Monday, May 13 by the Constitutional Court will be published in the official journal of the Togolese Republic before the deputies of the 7th legislature take office.
