Mike Tyson will soon enter the boxing ring again. The former world heavyweight champion will take on American influencer and boxer Jake Paul in a fight. The match will take place on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Texas and will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Tyson is considered one of the best boxers ever. He ended his career in 2005, in which he won fifty matches and lost six times. In 2020 he returned to the ring for a fight with Roy Jones Jr.
“I’m really looking forward to entering the ring with Jake Paul,” Tyson said. “He has grown considerably as a boxer over the years,” says the now 57-year-old Tyson about his opponent who is thirty years younger.
27-year-old Jake Paul initially became known as a YouTuber and made his debut as a professional boxer in 2020. Since his debut, Paul has fought ten matches, losing one. In addition to his career as a YouTuber and boxer, he is also known as the friend of the Dutch skater Jutta Leerdam.
