Secretary Liu Qiang Visits and Extends New Year Greetings to Veteran Party Members and Residents Living in Difficulties
With the Spring Festival fast approaching, Municipal Party Committee Secretary Liu Qiang took the time on February 5 to visit Lixia District. During his visit, he spent time with veteran party members, party members facing difficulties, and the local residents to extend his sincere greetings and New Year blessings.
One of the individuals Liu Qiang visited was Xu Dahai, a physically disabled resident living at No. 7 Yard, Qingnian East Road. Upon entering Xu Dahai’s home, Liu Qiang inquired about the challenges Xu Dahai faced in life and the state of his heating. Xu Dahai, who is at the second level of physical disability and unable to work, and his family were found wearing thick clothing indoors. After feeling the temperature of the radiator, Liu Qiang ensured that relevant parties were contacted to address the heating issue. He also took the time to inquire about Xu Dahai’s family life, rehabilitation treatment, and his children’s schooling.
Another resident Liu Qiang visited was Li Yifen, who suffers from diabetes and its complications and lives with her daughter at No. 86 Lishandong Road. Learning about her financial struggles, Liu Qiang took the opportunity to help Li Yifen calculate her monthly expenses and informed her of the implementation of the subsistence allowance policy.
In addition to these visits, Liu Qiang also visited the home of 100-year-old party member, Li Qiancheng, and sent him blessings for happiness, health, and longevity. During his visit, Liu Qiang emphasized the importance of caring for the lives of veteran party members and providing dedicated service and support to them.
In his New Year greetings, Liu Qiang extended well wishes for good luck in the Year of the Dragon and happiness to everyone’s families. He stressed the importance of a people-centered development philosophy and the commitment of party committees and governments at all levels to sincerely help the people solve the difficulties and problems they encounter in production and life.
The event was also attended by Han Wei, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Secretary-General. The visit made a significant impact on the residents and demonstrated the dedication and commitment of the local government to serving the community.
