According to the “Publicity”, Henan China Tobacco plans to hire a total of 149 people in 2021, including 14 professional management positions, technical research and development positions, and marketing positions, all of whom are master’s students. Nearly 50% of them graduated from well-known foreign universities.
The other 135 people are planned to be employed in the first-line production operation positions of 7 cigarette factories under the jurisdiction of China Tobacco. There are 985 and 211 universities such as Renmin University of China, Wuhan University, Zhengzhou University, and Hohai University. There are also many graduate students. Among them, 41 have a master’s degree, accounting for about 30.37%, and the rest have a bachelor’s degree or above.
The work content of the first-line production operators of the cigarette factory mainly includes two items of “silk making” and “rolling”, which belong to the skilled craftsmanship, and the popular term is cigarette workers.
Master’s degree graduates from prestigious schools came to the cigarette factory to work as workers, which surprised many people and sparked heated discussions on the Internet. But what’s interesting is that the comments on the Internet are polarized.
One view is that this is a typical talent mismatch. Graduate students from prestigious schools get together and go to the tobacco factory to make cigarettes.
