With the aim of bringing the population together, strengthening social ties and promoting living together, SEMEKONAWO Eyi Antivi brought together this Sunday, March 31, the youth of the canton of Sagbado around a football gala called “living together gala”. Eight teams from the corners of Sagbado and its surroundings took part in this competition. In the end it was Vitrine FC de Logoté who won the trophy put at stake in front of Olympique de Ségbé 3 shots to 2 after zero goals anywhere in regulation time.

It is the day of the commemoration of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ (Easter) that SEMEKONAWO Eyi Antivi chose to invite the youth of Sagbado around a football gala. Called “living together gala”, this gala brought together eight teams, namely: Racine FC, Olympique de Ségbé, Fontaine, Vitrine, Kazembé, Astern Olympique, USS and la passion de football. After tough competition, the first two in each group obtained their ticket to the semi-finals. At the end of the final four matches, Olympique de Ségbé and Vitrine de Logoté obtained their ticket for the grand final which was held in the evening. Hotly contested, the final did not see a winner at the end of regulation time and it was necessary to call for the fateful penalty shootout sessions. At the end of this session, it was Vitrine FC which was more skillful (3 shots against 2) thus winning this competition. to the great happiness of his trainer Roger Adjor: “I would first like to thank the organizer. I am so moved by what I did not expect from this organization so it is a very good initiative. I trusted young people. We presented a very young team. The young people wet their jerseys and then tactically, they are disciplined so that’s what paid off. It’s a very good organization. There was no tugging or quarreling. There was only fair play” did he declare

It is a satisfactory assessment that the organizer SEMEKONAWO Eyi Antivi draws up while evoking the aim of this gala: “I am very satisfied because when you see the joy that can be seen on the faces of young people, it’s nice. I decided to organize this gala to promote living together, to bring together young people, to bring together the canton and to celebrate Easter. We thank God that everything went well. Everyone was happy and we celebrated and congratulated the winner. When I was little, I loved football and why not bring young people together around that. Through this gala, I would like to convey living together, to be united for the canton and to take actions for young people to promote the canton” she said.

Winner, Vitrine FC leaves with a ball, a set of jerseys, a trophy and an envelope. The unfortunate finalist, Olympique, leaves with a ball, a set of jerseys and an envelope. Each team that took part in this competition left with a participation prize.
