In the last few hours, an audio has gone viral in which alias ‘Satanás’, criminal leader of the gang that bears the same name as his nickname, has threatened merchants in the southern towns of Bogotá for not paying extortions.

This material, which is already in the possession of the authorities, shows that the criminal continues to commit crimes even while in prison. In the audio you can see the way in which he threatens the merchants in the sector, where he warns:

“This statement goes to all the merchants, we are making the call and they are acting misunderstandings. Here the ones who are going to pay the consequences are you. If you do not catch up with Moisés and Pedro, who are the ones left in charge of the area, those guys have direct coordinates for them to start killing people every day.

Even the collaborators of José Manuel Vera, as is his real name, have put up pamphlets in several establishments, where they threaten that “if they do not change to the patio boss with all the benefits, the deaths will not stop.”

Given this, Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán spoke out assuring that “he will not allow alias ‘Satan’ or anyone else to threaten and extort merchants.”

“In Bogotá we are not going to allow alias ‘Satanás’, or anyone else, to threaten and extort merchants. I emphatically ask the Secretary of Security, César Restrepo, General Gualdrón, commander of the Bogotá Police, and General Morales, commander of the Thirteenth Brigade of the Army, to put themselves personally in charge of this situation, strengthen the reporting mechanisms and carry out forceful operational actions against the criminal organizations that threaten the life and freedom of the people of Bogota,” he wrote in his account of “X”, formerly Twitter, the leader of the people of Bogota.

Currently, this criminal has had to be transferred from prison on three occasions; he now remains detained in the Palogordo maximum security penitentiary center, in Girón, Santander.
