Ministry of Labor will take action against company after work accident that cost the life of a worker – Diario La Huella

The Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Rolando Castro, shared the unfortunate news that a worker lost his life after a work accident, near the border of San Cristóbal.

In that sense, the head of said State portfolio mentioned that the employee who lost his life: “was subcontracted with a company that provides the service to Tigo ElSalvador and lacked the necessary protective equipment.”

“It is outrageous that companies put lives at risk and ignore the law… In El Salvador the culture of non-compliance with labor regulations is still in force,” said Minister Castro.

Rolando Castro warned that this case will not go unpunished and that it will reach its final consequences. “This worker leaves behind his wife and three orphaned children,” the official said.
