A motorcycle ride ended up in the hospital for an 18-year-old on Sunday afternoon. The young man was traveling on his two-wheeler on the L1048 around 2:50 p.m. when the accident occurred near the town of Kerschham: The motorcycle collided with the car of a couple from the Braunau district who wanted to turn from a settlement entrance onto the state road .
Despite evasive maneuvers, the 18-year-old was unable to avoid the collision. According to police, he sustained such serious injuries that he had to be taken to the clinic in Braunau. The 46-year-old driver of the car and her husband (48) in the passenger seat remained uninjured.
