These days there is a rush in the administrative processes, both in the municipality and in the departmental scenario, the reason? The PDM is being prepared.
We see Mayor Ernesto Orozco and his entire work team, secretaries, advisors and everyone committed to the preparation of the Municipal Development Plan.
And what is so important about this? “The development plan includes a strategic vision of the future, since it aims to offer solutions that are maintained over time. In this way, plans must be sustainable, with improvements that remain in society even when the plan concludes.”
The mayor has been working in all scenarios: townships, communes, neighborhoods and localities in which each sector expresses its needs, what is the problem?
Starting from there, to propose solutions; Those who chair or coordinate the tables prioritize what is proposed to solve the problem with solutions that come from the communities themselves.
Last February 18, Sunday, in commune 2 specifically in the IE Francisco Molina Sánchez; After the protocol, folkloric displays and use of the leaders’ words and so on, we dedicated ourselves to what the mayor invited us to do.
I had the opportunity to participate in the culture and tourism workshop, and from there, listen to the young students of the school, some of them wary, too pessimistic and incredulous, we have to work hard to make these young people precursors of a better version themselves.
Promote conditions and forms in them, young people, so that they are part of the solution and a special part of the cultural and tourist greatness of our environment.
I want to highlight that from the municipal council of culture several problems were raised and we proposed the solution to these difficulties; We leave evidence that long-range public policies on culture and tourism are required, we must address the issue.
We leave exposed as a cultural complication, the null administrative autonomy of the Culture office and as a proposal we request the creation of the Municipal Institute of Culture and Tourism or, failing that, the Secretariat of Culture and Tourism; The request is prioritized so that it can be worked on in a special way. We will continue the fight.
Culture and tourism require a special, committed and autonomous public policy, and what better scenario than through the IMCT, a responsible work institute committed to each sector.
Let the museums come, let the festivals arrive and be consolidated, not only the vallenato, the film festivals, the theater festivals, the meetings of poets and reciters; the cultural scenes in each commune and townships, that we exalt the artists and give them the value they deserve, decent housing and approval of their art. That’s what we want.
