Municipality of Hernandarias and PTI sign promising alliance for scientific and technological advancement

The alliance signed between both institutions has an initial projection of three years, coming into force from that date.

The agreement signed between the Itaipu Paraguay Technology Park (PTI Paraguay) and the Municipality of Hernandarias has as its main purpose the generation of opportunities for technical studies, research activities, strengthening and training, as well as the opening of communication channels between both institutions.

This alliance has an initial projection of three years, coming into force from that date. The executive director of PTI Paraguay, Mag. Carlos Mercado, indicated that Hernandarias would have a significant investment from Itaipú Binacional, which will pay off in the development of the city’s infrastructure, this is due to the collaboration with the TASK Center, an emblematic project of the National Government with South Korea, through the Ministry of Industry and Commerce in alliance with PTI Paraguay regarding auto parts die-making and the sustainable mobility pilot plan. “We signed this framework agreement, with a view to developing specific projects that benefit the commune and PTI Paraguay,” Mercado noted.

For his part, the mayor of the Hernandariense commune, Nelson Cano, expressed that he is proud of this step taken and as a native of Alto Parana, he has every predisposition to work on the projects that will arise through the agreement.

With the incorporation of Hernandarias as a strategic ally of academic growth in Alto Paraná, Itaipú Binacional through PTI Paraguay, provides support so that more Paraguayans have the tools to grow in the areas offered by the institution.

The event took place at the headquarters of the municipality of Hernandarias and the signatories of said agreement were the executive director of PTI Paraguay, Mag. Carlos Mercado, the mayor of the city Nelson Cano and the general secretary of the municipality, Sandra Martínez. The activity was attended by local authorities.
