China Weather Network News Today and tomorrow (May 2 to 3), it will still rain heavily in Guangdong. The rain will be stronger in the north and west, and heavy rain may occur locally. Recently, heavy rainfall has been frequent in the above-mentioned areas, and the soil water saturation is high. We need to be alert that superimposed rainfall may lead to secondary disasters such as landslides and debris flows.

During the day yesterday, it was still raining heavily in Guangdong. As of 20:00, 7 weather stations in the province had recorded heavy rains exceeding 100 millimeters, with the cumulative rainfall in Zhapo Town, Jiangcheng District, Yangjiang reaching 117 millimeters.

The Guangdong Provincial Meteorological Observatory predicts that there will still be heavy rainfall in some areas during the day today, including heavy to heavy rain in the western Pearl River Delta and cities and counties in western Guangdong. The rest of the cities and counties will be cloudy and overcast, with light to moderate rain and local heavy rain.

From tonight to tomorrow, there will be moderate to heavy rain and local heavy rain in Shaoguan, Qingyuan, and Zhaoqing; it will be cloudy with (thunder) showers in other cities and counties.

The meteorological department reminded that during the May Day holiday, Guangdong will still be in a rainy mode. The rain will be strong in some areas in the north and west, and heavy rains will occur frequently. The local area needs to pay attention to preventing the occurrence of geological disasters. The public should pay close attention to early warning and forecast information, and travel through if possible, avoid waterways as much as possible.
