Oristano, the alleged killers of the farmer beaten to death in February for a robbery have been arrested

Turned into the investigation into the brutal murder of Tonino Porcu, the 78-year-old retired farmer, beaten and killed during a robbery that ended in blood at home in Ghilarza, in the province of Oristano, on the night between 21 and 22 February last.

The carabinieri stopped the alleged killers. Brothers Rubens and Bryan Carta, aged 31 and 27, respectively, ended up in handcuffs for willful murder. The oldest would have admitted his responsibilities.

The man had been beaten to death and died from the kicks and punches received. This had emerged from the autopsy carried out at the Policlinico di Monserrato (Cagliari). The examinations of the coroner had confirmed the most violent hypothesis: the elderly man had died from the blows inflicted by the robbers, with his bare hands or with a blunt object.

In fact, injuries were found not only on the face and head, but also in different parts of the body, all attributable to numerous kicks and punches. The criminals then fled, taking away two thousand euros which were kept inside a box. It was probably the money the elder had collected from some rents and retirement.
