ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Bar Council, while appreciating the decision of the Supreme Court to uphold the death sentence of former dictator Pervez Musharraf for the crime of high treason, asked the federal government to punish the criminals and those responsible for violating Article 5 of the Constitution. According to the statement of the Pakistan Bar Council, Vice Chairman Haroon Al Rasheed and Chairman of the Executive Committee Hasan Raza Pasha have demanded to prosecute the case under Article 6 of the Constitution. The deceased also paid great tribute to him for issuing a bold decision in this regard, he said that the Supreme Court has played its constitutional role for the stability of democracy and the rule of law in the country through its historic decision. The principle of the supremacy of the Constitution will be strengthened and will be remembered as an example in the political history of Pakistan.
