The Minister of Labor, Gloria Inés Ramírez Ríos, was optimistic about the process that is being carried out in the Congress of the Republic, to carry out the bills for labor and pension reforms.
“We have had enough meetings with the speakers in Congress and its dynamic has begun with the different public hearings, very representative and participatory where the congressmen are preparing the presentation that will be held next week on labor reform,” pointed out the head of the labor portfolio.
Faced with the legislative process of the pension reform in the Seventh Commission of the Senate, the minister also announced that a public hearing will be held in the city of Cúcuta and then the congressmen will file the paper.
The bills are expected to be approved in this legislative period and achieve their purpose of social justice and decent work with Colombian workers.
Among the positive aspects of the labor reform ´Trabajo por el Cambio´ is that it will encourage formalization to more thane 2.5 million workers and workers in sectors of delivery platforms, domestic and rural work, among others. It will also protect labor relations, provide stability in employment contracts, and improve income for workers.
RIt will resolve inequality with women at work, legal instability and resolve labor relations through dialogue.
