The “Party Media Editor-in-Chief Visits Huai’an in the Golden Autumn” event kicked off wonderfully yesterday morning at the Grand Canal Banzha Heritage Park. This event aims to showcase Huai’an’s style and promote the high-quality development of the city.

During the launching ceremony, Li Sen, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, Minister of the Propaganda Department, and Secretary-General, extended a warm welcome to all media friends. He highlighted the beauty of Huai’an, including its reputation, beautiful scenery, delicious food, and beautiful land. Li Sen expressed his hope that the media representatives would explore Huai’an’s nature and humanity, experience the vitality of its economy and society, and understand its potential for future development. He encouraged them to tell the story of Huai’an wonderfully and present its image in a positive light.

Liu Zhaoquan, executive deputy editor-in-chief of the Jiangsu Branch of Xinhua News Agency, emphasized Huai’an as a red fertile land and a city of gourmet food. He expressed his commitment, as an authoritative media representative, to vigorously promote Huai’an’s advanced experience and good practices. He encouraged mutual learning and development, so that everyone can appreciate the beauty of Huai’an and share in its progress.

Lu Bo, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Xuzhou News Media Group, highlighted the significance of the Grand Canal to Huai’an’s revitalization. He expressed his commitment, as a media peer along the canal, to tell the story of the Grand Canal and Huai’an with real feelings, unique perspectives, and professional lenses.

This event is part of the city’s efforts to fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and deepen the implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instructions. It is hosted by the Propaganda Department of the Huai’an Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, with the support of various organizations and companies. More than 20 presidents, editors-in-chief, and reporters from central, provincial, and municipal mainstream media were invited to Huai’an to collect stories and showcase the city’s charm.

As part of the event, the guests visited various locations in Huai’an, including the Huai’an Ecological Cultural Tourism Zone, Huai’an District, Lianshui County, and the Grand Canal Banzha Heritage Park. They experienced the city’s rich ancient charm and modern style, explored the revitalization of pastoral villages, and marveled at the rapid development and changes of Huai’an’s economy and society. The event will last for two days, with additional visits to the China Water Transport Museum and Zhou Enlai Memorial Hall scheduled for the following day.
