Built in 2018, it had been damaged by Vaia, now it can become the attraction of the Cadore summer

PERAROLO. The Tibetan bridge opens its doors and will be the new tourist attraction of the Cadore summer. It was built, suspended over the Montina stream between the hamlets of Ansogne and Macchietto di Perarolo, again in 2018 but the consequences of Vaia required a second intervention. The pandemic has done the rest but finally, after a long wait, the time has come for the inauguration: it will be held on Saturday at 10.30 with the basis of the ceremony set in the nearby Valmontina dairy. This structure, which in the intentions of Veneto Agricoltura and the Municipality of Perarolo will be a receptive reference in agritourism style for tourists in transit in the area, attracted by the international Wilderness recognition (dated 1994, Valmontina was the first area of the Alps to obtain this recognition). The inauguration will be attended by the director of Veneto Agriculture Nicola Dell’Acqua and the mayor of Perarolo Pier Luigi Svaluto.

The day includes the meeting at 10 on Saturday in the industrial area of Ansogne from where the participants will walk to first cross the bridge and then find themselves at Casera Valmontina.

The bridge is made entirely of metal, supported by a state-of-the-art system consisting of ropes and tie rods that make it safe even in the face of bad weather.

Tibetan bridges are a growing tourism product in the Italian mountains. They attract the attention of many tourists who, in order to cross it, will have to wait for scrupulous safety instructions.

The bridge will offer the possibility of observing and admiring it from a different perspective as well as representing an alternative and exciting crossing point in an excursion context historically highly appreciated by tourists ».

To give greater importance to the event, at 11 on Saturday, after the presentation of the initiative and the technical illustration of the bridge, the inauguration will continue to the notes of the brass concert of “La Sorgente” as part of the mountain festival entitled “On the most famous Dolomites” organized by the Magnifica and the Cadore mountain unions.
