After an Extraordinary Security Council for the latest events that occurred in the northern part of the department, the governor of Casanare, César Ortiz Zorro, announced a reward of $50 million pesos, to the person who provides information that allows the capture of the terrorists who carry out actions against the civilian population, the public force, the infrastructure, strategic assets and against public and private institutions of the department.
This situation generated after the clashes that occurred in the jurisdiction of the El Sinaí village of the municipality of Sácama, where the sentimental partner of the commander of the dissidents of the 28th Front of the FARC, alias “Alexa” or “Chuky”, died.
Ortiz Zorro condemned these events where two intermunicipal public service buses have been incinerated, while pointing out that a Ministerial Security Council has been immediately requested from the national government, with the Ministries of Defense and the Interior.
He added that joint actions are being carried out between the National Army, the National Police and the Air Force, to guarantee mobility in the Marginal de la Selva, and checkpoints have been increased. In addition, the presence of motorized platoons of the Police and National Army on the Marginal de la Selva will be guaranteed.
Likewise, overflights by Colombian Air Force aircraft will be intensified over the Marginal de la Selva and critical points of the department, and efforts are being made to increase the force in the municipalities of Pore, Paz de Ariporo and Hato Corozal.
Control at the terminals
It was added by the authorities that controls will be intensified at transport terminals, requesting companies to comply with the registration protocols for passengers who purchase tickets, compared with the ID cards to fully identify those who board the buses.
The National Police, through the SIJÍN, will support the Attorney General’s Office in the investigation work being carried out regarding these events.
“We want to tell the national government that we are with the peace process, that we share the peace process, that no one wants to return to that absurd war, to that petty war that left more than 80 thousand victims in Casanare, but that we also ask for forcefulness and authority for those who are enemies of peace, and that we have to fight forcefully against those who take away our peace and promote terrorist acts,” Governor Ortiz Zorro emphasized at the end of the Security Council.
