The policeman felt ill a week ago while serving in a polling station set up for referendums
Police in mourning for the sudden death of Oscar Bassi, a 58-year-old agent under the Friuli Police Headquarters, for some years a driver of the prefects of Udine. The policeman had felt ill a week ago while he was serving in a polling station set up for the referendums. He had been hospitalized in intensive care, where he died on Saturday: the family authorized the removal of organs, in what his wife defines “a gesture of good, the last one performed by Oscar in his life”.
