A future Ukrainian mother tested positive and with some symptoms. Two other positive refugees hospitalized for other pathologies

TREVISO. A future Ukrainian mother and the baby she carries in her womb are fine, but they are kept under observation in the Gynecology department of the Treviso hospital due to the positivity to Covid, with some symptoms, for the woman.

“In addition to the future mother, we have two other Ukrainian patients who are positive but hospitalized for other pathologies,” says the director general of Ulss 2 Francesco Benazzi. In the meantime, the Municipality of Vittorio Veneto is thinking about another structure of pure hospitality, as reported by the councilor for social work Antonella Caldart: “An interest that is materializing concerns the availability of the hotel part of the San Giuseppe college where there are numerous beds for mothers and children. For now, 24 positives have emerged out of 2,040 swabs performed on refugees to date. So far there are 900 health cards ready to be issued to as many Ukrainian refugees.

A bilingual handbook for medical assistance will be created and the hourly opening of the clinic dedicated to the Ukrainian emergency in Montebelluna will be enhanced, given the large presence of volunteer doctors.
