Preservation plan in the digital environment, a dedicated webinar

by admin

The preservation of files and series is becoming increasingly important, by virtue of the digitalisation of Public Administration procedures. Management of the preservation plan in the digital environment is the theme of webinar next Wednesday 31 gJanuary (11.30am, registration deadline Tuesday 30th at 3pm), which is part of a cycle envisaged by the 2023-2026 Collaboration Agreement between the Emilia-Romagna Region (Parer) and Formez PA.

The importance of the plan and how it can be managed: these are the topics that will be covered during the appointment. In particular, with respect to the management methods, emphasis will be placed on two aspects: on the one hand, the objective of rationalizing and regulating the archival organisation, on the other the insertion into the system of fundamental information for the archival waste in digital environment, necessary to comply with legislation on the protection of personal data.

During the webinar, a particularly significant experience in this area will be illustrated, that of Autonomous Province of Trento. A sort of good practice, since, in its document system, the institution has implemented a function for managing the document preservation plan, in preparation for the archival discarding of IT documentation. Thanks to this tool it is possible to standardize the creation of files and documentary series, associating with each of them the metadata relating to the conservation time.

Program and registration (by January 30th at 3.00 pm)
