President Peña will make an official visit to España

The President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, will make an official trip to Spain to participate in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in its 2024 edition, in the city of Barcelona, ​​an event that brings together senior executives from leading global companies. , international governments and technology companies to debate topics that refer to connectivity and technological innovation. The event will take place from February 25 to 27. The inaugural opening of this event will feature a speech by President Peña.
Upon arrival, the head of state will participate in a dinner hosted by the Global System for Mobile Communications, (GSMA), a global organization of mobile operators and related companies, dedicated to supporting the GSM mobile telephone system. This reception will also be attended by King Felipe of Bourbon and Greece and the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez.
The agenda also includes a meeting with José Vicente de los Mozos, CEO of Indra Sistemas, one of the main global consulting and technology companies, and also with representatives of Hispasat, SA, a Spanish operating company. of communications satellites. Peña will also hold a meeting with the senior executive and president for Latin America of the Huawei brand and an interview with Jorge Negrete, president of DPL Group and DPL News, a multidisciplinary team of analysts, journalists, communicators and designers in different countries in Latin America.
On Tuesday, a meeting is planned with the secretary general of ITU, a specialized agency of the United Nations for information and communication technologies, and also another meeting with the CEO of the company NOKIA.
In the city of Madrid, a dinner is planned with members of the Association of Ibero-American Entrepreneurs (CEAPI), in addition to a meeting with the CEO of Grupo Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas SA (FCC), also with representatives of the Urbaser Group, which offers industrial and urban cleaning services and a meeting with the press outlet Europa Press.
Among the activities, a meeting is also planned with the secretary general of the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB) and a bilateral meeting with Pedro Sánchez, president of the government of Spain. In that same vein, the head of state will have a private meeting with the king of Spain, Felipe de Borbón y Grecia, a conversation with the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE), a meeting with the Urbas Financial Group and a lunch with Spanish businessmen. President Peña’s return is scheduled for Friday, March 1.
