With the challenge of improving and strengthening health services, Governor Renson Martínez Prada appointed and presented those who will lead the State Social Enterprises in the Department for a new four-year period, between April 2024 and March 2028.
The Department’s commitment to health is undeniable, therefore this choice had to be conscious, since the community’s dissatisfaction with the timely and effective provision of health care is permanent.
ESE Hospital San Vicente de Arauca
For the sectional leader for his career and work in the health sector for two decades, starting at the Departmental Health Institute of Arauca, IDESA and holding several important positions, he arrives at the ESE Hospital San Vicente de Arauca, Dr. Carlos Alberto Sánchez Arango .
Bacteriologist by profession, specialist in management of health institutions, specialist in epidemiology, master’s degree in quality sciences, extensive experience in the health sector holding positions such as director of the Fortul hospital, departmental health advisor of Arauca with the International Organization for Migrations -IOM- and director of the Sarare hospital recently.
ESE Moreno y Clavijo
Martínez Prada confirmed at ESE Moreno y Clavijo Wilder Ortiz Bueno, professional nurse specialist in Management of Health Service Provider Organizations, with more than 9 years of experience in the health sector, which has risen from doing rural nursing in the San Francisco de Fortul hospital, he later provided services as head nurse at the same hospital, then became deputy health manager at ESE Moreno y Clavijo and finally, since 2020, he has been the manager of the entity.
At the inauguration ceremony he stated that he was not inferior to his challenges, he thanked the Governor and promised to strengthen human talent; He commented that he will continue with zeal and the same effort to keep Moreno y Clavijo in first place nationally in terms of meeting goals and stressed not to fail to comply with his people.
ESE Sarare Hospital
For her part, Ariela Gelvis Quintero remains in her position as Manager of the ESE Hospital del Sarare in the municipality of Saravena.
This public accountant, with specialization in public accounting and health management, has worked in this healthcare center as an accountant, administrative and financial assistant manager, and hospital manager.
Gelvis Quintero stated that health is going through a very crucial moment, and that the completion of the projects that were presented must be taken advantage of to request resources again from the national order and be able to execute those with great social impact, he recalled that the hospital is in a great financial moment, that the immediate goal is to work for the emergency unit, the blood bank and establish agreements with the other Social Enterprises of the State to be able to work hand in hand.
Governor Rensón Martínez recalled that the trust of the community must be regained in terms of the provision of health services in a timely manner, with quality and with humanity and that we must fight for institutional, labor and human talent growth.
Likewise, the president expressed that any project that is formulated and made viable must be executed; From now on, we will work with technical and evaluated criteria to be able to find the results that are needed, efficiency and profitability must be taken into account in the decisions that are made and expressed support for them to strengthen hospitals, health centers, and therefore hence the services.
