TREVISO. Red Canzian’s Casanova is preparing to land in London. International proposals flock, and the musical made in Veneto is about to take off. There is a great deal of interest from the very famous English musical “agency” West End. With some satisfaction Canzian confirms: «Twice they came to see our show and now they have invited us to London to discuss the project, we hope to be able to export our Casanova Opera Pop to the world ».
The cards to succeed in the enterprise are all there, a captivating plot, an exceptional cast and the timeless appeal that a setting dedicated to Venice has in itself. “The quality of West End is perhaps superior to that of Broadway, it would be fantastic to be able to export the beauty of Venice outside the borders of our country, making it accessible to all people” adds Canzian.
Meanwhile, the musical in Italy has concluded its first 30 performances and is preparing to restart in November. The blockbuster, signed by the bassist and voice of Pooh, was sold out with a debut in the lagoon that saw Red Canzian absent due to a serious heart infection, resolved after an operation and two months in hospital. The convalescence did not allow him to attend the debut of the opera but did not prevent him from participating in the Treviso stage of the show. With emotion in his eyes and in his heart he was present at the Del Monaco theater.
